With Totally Accurate Battle Simulator’s Switch release integrating in-game mod support powered by mod.io going live, we are proud to announce that mods are officially available on all modern consoles, including PlayStation and Xbox, as well as PC and VR.

This is the realisation of what our CEO and co-founder Scott Reismanis set out to do when he started ModDB.com in 2002.

With games like SkaterXL offering mod support on Xbox, Deeprock Galactic on PC Game Pass, Snowrunner on PlayStation, BONELAB in VR, and Weird West across all PC stores, we’ve truly gone cross-platform, and mods are more accessible than ever.

With mod.io providing tools for Unreal Engine, Unity, and custom engines, any game on any platform can now enable official in-game mod support!

To celebrate and look back on the past few years of mod.io, Scott wrote a piece reminiscing on what’s gotten mod.io to where we are today. To read more, click here.
