It'll take quite a bit of effort to come close to this look in the actual game, but the overall visual look is one of the big ticket items that will make Fountaindale different from everything else out there. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm sick and tired of seeing the same old tired, boring, and plain 3D rendered look in so much stuff out there. If we can get something close to the piece below, I think we'll have something really special and unique on our hands.
Long overdue, we've finally got our first scene to give the team a solid idea of the overall look we're shooting for in the game. Thanks to Jakub Kujawa for his efforts on this piece.

Well that's bloody brilliant! Kudos in particular to Jakub. Contemporary western games place too much emphasis on photorealism and not enough on artistic merit. If I saw a game with this kind of style in a shop, I'd buy it.

Simply beautiful. If you manage to get even close to that style with the game you've won yourself at least one customer, I love the style. [smile]
