Also it's really easy to lose sight of the truck in the big world.

Quote:Original post by MoeIs it possible to roll the vehicle?Yes the truck rolls over at the end because of a sudden turn - I could not control both the camera and the vehicle so I only dabbed the car controls here and there.
Quote:Original post by RavuyaNo, actually it's treated as independent suspension. I may be simulating a solid axle sometime, although I'm no expert on how it would/should behave then [embarrass]
It always floors me when I look at your stuff. I love how the truck seems to accurately simulate solid axles. Does it do the differential(s) as well?
Quote:Original post by El GrecoI was wondering, as the truck gets further away from the camera, does the terrain mesh it collides with get coarser, or do you procedurally generate high-detail terrain beneath it on the fly?The terrain mesh used for physics can be generated on the fly, although currently the meshes are taken from particular level of the quad-tree created for the viewer. That means if the vehicle gets too far (>2km?) to the region using a coarser detail, it will sink to the ground.
