Maybe we need a seperate category/namespace thing for this.

Good idea Almar, but how should we go about separating the persons into categories? Also, we need a short description of why each individual is famous. I reconize most of the names that are currently on the list, but I can't pinpoint what most of them are known for. As an example I'll try adding a little info to, say, Chris Taylor. -- Sion 07:32, 11 February 2006 (EST)
Hm, no I mean categories so that we do not clutter the global 'namespace' but have something like http://gpwiki.org/index.php/People:JohnCarmack instead of http://gpwiki.org/index.php/JohnCarmack.
Short description.. I'll try to do a few when I have some time, tommorow probably.

Might I move that the 'links' on this page direct to the Wikipedia article covering the person in question? Otherwise, since the biographies aren't exactly technical in nature, the content at this wiki would be sub-standard to or just copied from the Wikipedia article.--Nerd boy 04:21, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
Already converted the links to pages that haven't yet been created to the wikipedia articles, if for nothing else than to at least have some form of content. Still waiting to see whether or not we want to delete the single line People articles and send all links to Wikipedia.
Also, what is the point of having the "Industry People" 'header' if there are no other headers?
Also also, what about the two names under the Z listing? They have no corresponding wikipedia article that I've been able to find, and look suspiciously like self-promotion.
