Before getting confused, these tutorial will teach you "how to do a basic program" that will display a series of pictures to give the illusion of animation.

These tutorials does not, in anyway, teach you how to draw pictures for use in animation.

• Animating Two Pictures - discusses the concept of Animation programming.
• Animating Three (or more) Pictures - discusses an algorithm which is more suited to 2D games development.
