Game ideas: Interactive Environment

Red Faction's ideas of blasting holes in walls is a good one, but the initial game felt a bit restrictive. My idea for a game is to involve as much interactivity in the environment as possible. Games like Worms allowed much blasting through the scenery and girder-putting-up (for accessibility or defense). In this 3D game idea, i'd like to see a third person view of your character, armed with a heavy duty mining tool. Everything can be dug through or under... Your character is as agile as the Prince o' Persia's recent incarnations. Trees can be sliced through, then kicked over (in desired direction). Rocks can be pushed off ledges. I-Beams (girders) carried from place to place, buildings demolished when enough foundations and support are removed. Aim of the game: well you could do quite a lot around this framework, but i'm thinking minimally multiplayer. Either race to find a special winning item; get as many diamonds as possible; drop rocks, landslides, trees on each other (not sure that would work); F.P. Shooter style; tuggy (aka tag); base capturing...... base capturing: run over bases to capture them, and get as many as you can at once (before they get claimed back by someone else). Can't get to that base? bring the base to you by destroying it's foundations! And what was that game with godzilla 'n' that from ages ago?? RAMPAGE!! :) destruction means prizes.
