Looking for opinions on what would make building games easier

Hi everyone, I'm doing some research into components that game developers might want to buy-in to create games more easily and quickly.

I've made a quick poll below and would love some opinions.

Which of the following would you consider an off-the-shelf component or service for? Choose as many as you like (and feel free to just reply with numbers).

(Have been advised that much of this relates to mobile games but any general opinions appreciated)

1. Player identity, attributes, avatar

2. Player progression systems, to encourage retention

3. In-game item collections

4. In-game item marketplace, to buy and sell and allow players to make game/ real money from others

5. Social tools such as player > player connections, chat etc

6. Challenge and achievement designer (ie do X + Y for result / item / level Z)

7. Location based services for IRL movement tracking

8. None of these - I can handle them all myself or know of existing components I would use

Thank you and happy holidays!

I don't think that 5 buzzwords are enough to adequately describe a component for such a decision.

@gabescharner , have you or your company developed games?
