This is one of the Heffner Vipers. While not a new or upcomming factory vehicle, this is so ridiculous I had to mention it anyway. Similar to Saleen for Mustangs or Lingenfelter for Corvettes, Heffner takes these vehicles to the max, and when you have a monstrous ten cylinders to start with, there's a lot of potential.
How much potential? Try 1300hp on 93 octane and 1500hp on race fuel (link). Why do you need this much power? Clearly you don't, and in fact most people shouldn't, it's dangerous and hard to drive. Heffner tries to alleviate some of this by installing an AEM engine management system on the twin-turbo models, but I have my doubts about how much safer that makes it. But, there is no question about it, this car is cool. Cars like this must exist, and if Heffner didn't do it, someone else would have (like Hennessey).
I can't really imagine driving a car like this on the strip (they run low 8's by the way), let alone on the street. There must be nothing else like it.
