Hello and welcome to this weeks Dev Diary, the short version!

Last week went by along the following topics;

  • Tweaking my work computer for more throughput - a continuation for my attempts to get the new memory module to work at their rated speed (More Info Here and Here). This time I was successful at tuning the memory speed at 2000 MHz and having the CPU at 3.5 GHz, stable. Last time around, the work computer would suffer periodical crashes within the first day, if not every other hour or so, like it did on one of the earlier attempts. I have a habit of trying to tune my PC at least once a year, to see if I can find new grounds on stability and speed. Before this, my memory worked at 1600 MHz, with a lot tighter timings (8-8-8-24 at 1600 MHz vs 10-12-12-28 at 2000 MHz), with a CPU clock at 3.25 GHz.
  • More story element designs - Summer should be enjoyed to a more full extent when living in the northern hemisphere, as summers are short and winters are long. For productivity purposes, designing the story while taking it easy is a good, productive way to enjoy the Nordic summer.
  • Making some leveling mechanism tweaks, for more unique and rewarding leveling experience. Can't wait to being able to implement it and try this out in practice.
